Genre: Supernatural/Wincest
Pairings: Sam/Dean. Sam/OMC [implied].
Rating: NC17
Estimated word count: 52K+
Warnings/Spoilers: Spoilers thru 5x15 [Dead Mean Don't Wear Plaid]
Summary: Not long after his run-in with Famine, Dean breaks down and prays for help. It's not God who answers. Michael appears before him and instantly changes everything Dean thought he knew about the Apocalypse.
A few days later, Sam wakes up alone in Bells Pond, Nebraska -- a far cry from the drab motel room in Tennessee where he fell asleep. Without Dean, Sam explores his desolate surroundings and discovers that the town lies in ruins thanks to a demonic event. It becomes clear that Sam's not as alone as he thought, nor can he escape from his strange prison. He fights against the power holding him there, afraid every day that Lucifer will hunt him down and force him to say yes. The Apocalypse continues to rage outside of his isolated world and Sam fears for his brother's life. As time drags on, and as Lucifer takes Sam to ever more seductive places in his dreams, Sam realizes that the people of Bells Pond may provide the key to everything he's been searching for but never thought he'd find. And waiting in the future is an unforeseen miracle, if Sam can last that long.

The Mind of Misha
Mar. 31st, 2010 09:04 pmIn case you haven't seen it, Misha Collins made a short film that he put on You tube. This is the official version. I know some weeks back this was making the rounds but apparently it was leaked and he asked the poster to take it down, they did. Now it's back, presented by the man himself. Have a look:
Pretty much exactly what I would expect Misha would make after working on Supernatural for over a year.

Fandom: Supernatural/Die Hard
Rating: R
Characters: Sam/Matt, Dean, McClane
Warnings: apoca-future, gore, zombies
Word Count: 10,700
Summary:"...and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them."
They walk out of necessity, most of the arterial roads clogged with cars, trucks and bodies. They'd started out in the Impala but there were times when they'd lose hours and sometimes days trying to find a clear path and it exposed them too much to be out of the car, moving others out of their way. Plus, you never knew when a zombie would be camped out in the back of a sedan you just wanted to push off a bridge.

How I waste my life…
Nov. 25th, 2009 09:31 pmIt's almost the end of the month and I've posted everyday but haven't actually said anything about myself, so here is my first ever meme (stolen from everyone else who was doing it like 2 weeks ago, because I'm not only a thief, but also slow.)
( The boob tube )
And because it's been over a week since I spammed with youtube, this made me smile:
This is just freakin' awesome:
Her LJ if you would like to leave a comment.

We Are Back in Business!
Nov. 24th, 2009 02:26 pmMy computer is up and running. Yay!
And I did it. I signed up for the friending Meme. Even if it is over and I missed the boat, hey at least I tried.
And you can too!!
The Supernatural "Hellatus" Friending Meme

I was searching around, in no way procrastinating my NaNoWriMo, and found this website: 'How To Write Badly Well.' So there's a Tuesday time waster. It's really pretty great.
But what's really interesting is that he's having a contest to see who can write the worst, or I guess with the most clichés, for a 300 word story. It sounds like it could be a blast. If the deadline wasn't by the end of November I might try my hand at it.
I'm really far behind on my NaNo but I found their 30 minute 'Word Wars' and with that and Write or Die I'm starting to catch up.
I should get back to that. *Waves to invisible friends list*

Plans For The Future, Kinda Maybe
Nov. 23rd, 2009 05:41 pmI hijacked a computer and realized that I missed a Supernatural Hiatus friending meme, thing-y. Which sucks, because that’s exactly the kinda think I need. If it’s still running tomorrow I’ll probably throw my hat in the ring and get this party started!! (That is if I can actually rustle up some friends)
Whooo!
Don’t mind me, I may be a little hyped up on caffeine. I’ve been working on my NaNo and making real headway with bridging the gap the whole ‘no computer’ thing caused. But I have high hopes of actually finishing. Which is just awesome.
Fingers crossed!
Hum, do these posts actually have to have content to count for NaBloPoMo? I say no. I like that answer.

Give Me a Quarter, I love Quarters
Nov. 19th, 2009 07:01 pmSupernatural day!!! YAY!
( Cut for spoiler predictions )
Now I expect my f-list to update me on anything I might miss with my battery out. Oh wait, that's right, I don't have one. Crap, I really need to get on that. I need people to share my crazy with.

Surprise!Cameo
Nov. 14th, 2009 03:15 pmDid anyone else think of this when watching 5x09?
( Cut for pics. No spoilers for unaired episodes )
Also, voting has strated at
deanlims. Head on over and vote for the icon's you like. Or just have a look at what people are making.

Crap, Really
Nov. 13th, 2009 07:18 pmI wrote absolutely nothing yesterday for NaNoWriMo so that's going to come back to haunt me. Just like all the other days I did nothing. I finally caved and got the icon, which will predictably change to my default once I delete it next month. (Yeah I'm still bitter about that)
I finally sent in my entry for
deanlims (and that was an experience; I had to re-teach myself photobucket and got angry at its, and my own, inadequacies), but now I have to make one for next week, presuming I make it through this round, and I have absolutely no inspiration. No that's a lie, I did have an idea but it's not panning out the way I would like. Why don't people Cap old movies?
I would like to comment on last night's episode, but with the way that fandom is exploding I think I'll just stay out of it. (I won't even say that I really liked it. Or the fact that it was a convention for a book. Look at comic book conventions, they're 99.9% male. That's just how it is. Crap.)
Hey at least I'm keeping up with NaBloPoMo. That's something right? It's one thing I've committed myself to that I don't seem to be failing at yet.
If you want to fallow the convention that's going on right now and don't have twitter click here to read what people are saying.
Fingers crossed that it goes well.

If it's not Rough it isn't Fun
Nov. 12th, 2009 08:15 pmToday is Supernatural day and everyone everywhere is reccing this vid.
I'm gonna be different and rec in a theme. Inspired by 5x7 (so some spoilers for that episode.)
Stay classy
The Wincest version.
(Yeah I know, bummer, they won't embed. Don't worry I have more to spam)
Some J2:
Christopher Walken style:
And stripped:
I have absolutely no idea what brought this on.
That is all.

Survey Says
Nov. 11th, 2009 06:46 pmSo a few months ago this happened- 'Survey Fail' -and I thought it was just fantastic how quickly we as a collective were able to stop that crazy train before it could pick up speed, and really represent ourselves as the intelligent, learned people we are, despite how others may judge us for our chosen pastimes. (That came out a lot creepier then I intended. We like to read and write. People think that's weird.)
Yesterday this popped up which unfortunately I don't have screen caps for, of the original survey or their written disclaimer that has now been taken down. I assume the account will be removed shortly and the link will no longer work. However it was a survey geared toward Wincest fans asking the usual questions of 'what do you like and why.' The survey itself was fine and I actually would be interested in the results if not only to see where I lie within the preferences of the general population of Supernatural fans.
The problem came from the fact that they refused to identify themselves or where they were affiliated, stating only that it was for a presentation for a class and that they were college students. As someone who has done scientific research involving participants from the general population this survey wasn't adding up. But I'm not going to get into that, I'll direct you to here and here for great explanations as to why this survey couldn't have been sanctioned for college research.
The surveyors have since retracted the survey apologizing for any trouble they have caused and stating that they will gather information on how to properly conduct such a survey before attempting again.
Now my initial thought when I found the survey, being the conspiracy theorist that I am, was that Ogi Ogas and Sai Gaddam found help (very polite I might add) to fix some of the problems from their first try. But still weren't quite there yet. (In this little world I created it was hilarious to see a commenter link the survey takers back to the Survey Fail website I have at the top of the post. How angry Ogi must have been to see his first failure compared so quickly to his second. But as I said this was just speculation, and I don't really think it was Ogi.)
I think whoever put up the survey handled it very well. People were polite in pointing out the flaws, and they listened and took a step back to re-evaluate. It happened so quickly I don't think many people know it happened at all.
But ultimately this made me wonder. How long will it be before there is research done on how fandom reacts to bad research?
That's how we Roll
Nov. 8th, 2009 08:10 pm
I did it. I lasted a full week with NaBloPoMo. I wish I was this successful with NaNoWriMo, but I'm not too far behind that I can't catch up. I really didn't think I would make it this far with the everyday thing. It gives me hope that I might be able to go all the way.
I don't even care that I have absolutely nothing interesting to say. But now that I figured out how to do that video embedding thing, I can let the Winchesters give you some good advice.
It has an awesome catchy tune and the vidder did an great job using a scene from every episode up to 4x14.
And because I can; have some Jensen voice from yesterday.
They really are cute together.
(I'm still a bit slow with it, trying to figure out the HTML. Thank God for the Preview button.)
Livin' the Lie, Just to Get by
Nov. 7th, 2009 12:31 pmAn early post today because I might not be around tonight, and I need to get some writing done, so of course I'm going to procrastinate with posting.
Have a chart of how behind I am.
And that's after the 3,000 words I put down in last nights push. I should be at something like 11667, and I'm not even half way
Doesn't matter. I wanna see if I can do that imbedding thing, cause I Cannot. Stop. Watching this. I want a ringtone.
(Two days is long enough that that's not spoilery right? I hope so.)

Nov. 4th, 2009 11:21 pmThis website is just amazing. And very cool. (click the weapons stash)
I couldn't help making an icon. Or at least trying to. I'm still learning the fine arts of icon making. But I'll get there eventually.
And because I was procrastinating, have a cut with many of the exact same thing.
( Time to make some copies )
(Made it in just under the wire. This everyday thing is going to be hard)
